Jolien Sysmans (foto) heeft zaterdag op het Belgisch kampioenschap in het Antwerpse Wezenbergzwembad haar Belgische record op de 50 meter vrije slag aangescherpt. De zwemster van Brabo won de finale in 25.37 seconden, drie honderdste onder haar vorige record dat ze op 2 augustus 2008 in het Servische Belgrado op 25.40 had gebracht.
Miroslava Syllabova werd tweede in 25.60, het brons was voor Annelies De Mare in 26.26. Op de openingsdag vrijdag zwom Ward Bauwens al een nationaal record op de 400 meter wisselslag (4:19.55)
