Vacansoleil-DCM heeft dinsdag zijn selectie voor de Ronde van Italië bekendgemaakt. Onze landgenoot Thomas De Gendt is één van de negen uitverkorenen van de Nederlandse ploeg.
De 25-jarige De Gendt Maakte vorig jaar in zijn eerste Tour de France al indruk met sterke prestaties op Alpe d'Huez en in de slottijdrit. Dit jaar won hij al een etappe in Parijs-Nice.
De andere acht afgevaardigden voor Vacansoleil-DCM zijn Matteo Carrara (Ita), Mirko Selvaggi (Ita), Martijn Keizer (Ned), Stefan Denifl (Oos), Tomasz Marczynski (Pol), Romain Feillu (Fra) en Gustav Erik Larsson (Zwe).
