Tiger Woods stond al sinds 2006 bovenaan de lijst van het Amerikaanse onderzoeksbureau Harris Interactive. Maar dit jaar krijgt de golfer gezelschap op de eerste plaats, namelijk van Kobe Bryant.
Bryant pakte dit jaar, voor de vijfde keer in zijn loopbaan, de NBA-titel met de Los Angeles Lakers.
