De vijfde rit bracht het peloton over een parcours van 126 kilometer van La Ciotat naar de top van de Mont Faron in Toulon.
Masciarelli kwam als eerste over de meet. Alejandro Valverde werd tweede. De Spanjaard van Caisse d'Epargne greep meteen ook de eindzege.
