In de wedstrijd tegen Karlsruhe zakte FC Keulen-speler Ümit Özat plots ineen. Hij bleef minutenlang bewusteloos liggen. Zijn vrouw staat er op dat hij stopt met voetballen.
Aanvankelijk werd gevreesd voor een hartaanval bij de Turkse voetballer, maar na onderzoek bleek dat hij was flauwgevallen. Volgens de teamarts van FC Köln heeft Özat wellicht te weinig gedronken of gegeten.
