De Kroatische Blanka Vlasic heeft zondag op de Continental Cup in Split een knappe prestatie neergezet. De vrouw geraakte namelijk over 2m05, de beste wereldjaarprestatie in het hoogspringen.
Vlasic, wereld- en Europees kampioene, geraakte niet over 2m10.
Het wereldrecord staat nu al 23 jaar op naam van de Bulgaarse Stefka Kostadinova. Zij sprong over 2m09.
