De 20-jarige Wickmayer won de eerste set nog in een tiebreak met 7/5, maar liet het daarna afweten.
De volgende set ging naar de één jaar jongere Riske met 6-4 en in set drie liep de Amerikaanse snel uit tot 5-2.
Wickmayer probeerde nog terug te vechten en had een breakpunt bij 3-5, maar Riske hield het hoofd koel en won de set met 6-3.
