Zonhovenaar Erwin Metten is zondag met de nationale ploeg wereldkampioen tafelvoetbal in het Franse Nantes geworden. In de finale ging Duitsland voor de bijl met 3-0. Naast Metten bestaat de ploeg nog uit Frédéric Collignon, Tom Van De Cauter, Koen Le Percq, Giuliano Bentivolglio en Kurt Kuys.
