De BMW M550d xDrive heeft met 740 Nm maar liefst 60 Nm meer dan de M5 en sprint in amper 4,7 seconden naar 100 km/u. Toch is de M550d geen "echte" M, eerder een sportieve 5 reeks met een dikke, 381 pk sterke diesel.
