Uit een Nederlands onderzoek blijkt dat chauffeurs liever een parkeerplek zoeken in een parkeergarage dan op de straat. Men vindt het er veiliger, met name lakschade en diefstal worden gevreesd in een parkeerplaats langs de weg.
