Nadat Mini bewees dat het retro-aspect een commercieel succes bleek, ging ook Fiat terug naar haar roots en kwam het uit bij de Fiat 500. Fiat heeft er inmiddels een mijlpaal bij, ze verkocht maar liefst 1 miljoen exemplaren van de Fiat 500.
