Als het van Friedrich Nitschke hoofd van de M-afdeling van BMW af hangt krijgt de huidige generatie reguliere M modellen geen vierwielaandrijving. "Als klanten een vierwielaangedreven product van ons willen, moeten ze maar een X5 M of X6 M bestellen", aldus Nitschke in een openhartig interview met Car & Driver.
