Honda is trots op de nieuw ontwikkelde i-DTEC- dieselmotor. Het blok brengt 120 pk en 300 Nm voort en verbruikt in de Civic slechts 3,6l/100 km. Volgend jaar komt het blok ook in de nieuwe CR-V te zitten.
