De 36e editie van de Dakar-rally, die tegenwoordig in Zuid-Amerika plaatsvindt, werd gewonnen door de Spanjaard Nani Roma in een MINI. Bij de vrachtwagens eindigde een spannende race in het nadeel van onze landgenoot Colsoul.
