Render: Jaguar SUV

Veruit alle constructeursgroepen delen hun platformen over verschillende modellen en merken. Aangezien Land Rover een zuster is van Jaguar, is het eigenlijk verwonderlijk dat er nog geen Jaguar SUV op de markt is gekomen. Alhoewel, Land Rover wil natuurlijk niet in hun eigen voet schieten. Met de Range Rover Sport hebben ze immers al een capabele BMW X5, Audi Q7 of Porsche Cayenne concurrent. Moest Jaguar toch van gedacht veranderen, dan hebben ze aan deze render alvast een mooi voorbeeld over hoe hun SUV er uit kan zien.

An SUV model for the Jaguar brand has long been rumored, yet never confirmed. But WCF member MOMOYAK has attempted to show what the forthcoming model could look like.

Considering Jaguar's sister brand Land Rover is not short of platforms to underpin a new SUV, it would not be an expensive project to eventually bring one to the market. Parent company Tata Motors has so far refrained from building the model but it would provide the company a rival to the BMW X5 and Porsche Cayenne.

Jaguar's more immediate focus appears to be on adding sportier models to their line-up. A production version of the Jaguar C-X16 concept has recently been mentioned and it may also be joined by a flagship sports car to rival the Porsche 911 Turbo.
