Een diesel en een stationwagon zijn in Europa niet te versmaden als je het wil maken bij de middenklasse, ook bij de grotere wagens. Niet verwonderlijk dus dat Jaguar een break bouwde van de XF, ze benoemden het wel als Sportbrake, om hem niet lifestyle break te moeten noemen.
