De Lexus LS, bij autofans doet hij een belletje rinkelen, maar daar stopt het dan ook meestal bij. In Europa heeft het Japanse vlaggenschip nooit echt een groot marktaandeel kunnen bemachtigen. Daarentegen, over de grote plas, is hij sinds 1989 maar liefst 15 jaar marktleider geweest.
