Volvo snapt het: Polestar Performance Pack!

Het pakket met een naam die doet denken aan die heerlijke C30 kost je 1500 euro. Voorlopig komen enkel de S60 met T5 en T6 motoren in aanmerking voor een upgrade. Die laatste krijgt er dan 25 pk en 30 Nm koppel bij. Helaas is er nog geen nieuws of wij Europeanen dit pakketje ook kunnen bestellen...

Met Polestar wil Volvo performance minded klanten tevreden stellen. Met een pakket dat de wagen overall meer oemphf komen ze al aardig in de buurt. Vanaf 5 december kunnen de US Americans hun pakketje gaan bestellen. Al wacht ik nog steeds op de échte opvolger van de S60R...

The package, which lists for $1,495 installed, adds 25 horsepower and 30 lb-ft. of torque to the models for a total of 325 horsepower and 355 lb-ft. of torque. Right now, the package is not available for the company’s S80 T6 flagship. Developed by Volvo’s official motorsports and performance partner, the Polestar upgrades for the 3.0-liter make the XC60, XC70 and S60 essentially mirror the underhood punch of the recently-introduced S60 R-Design. “Just a few weeks after announcing the performance package for select T5 models, we have already received tremendous feedback from our customers,” said Chris Dauerer, Volvo Cars of North America vice president of customer service, in a statement released to members of the media. “With Polestar, we are able to deliver our performance-minded customers the enhanced driving package they have been looking for now across a variety of our carlines.” The latest package expands the Volvo-Polestar lineup in North American showrooms; the automaker previously announced an upgrade for its turbocharged five-cylinder models. Volvo says that the package will go on sale December 5.
