Volvo trucks gaat in de Gentse vestiging het hele gamma zware trucks bouwen. Daarmee is een investering van enkele miljoenen euro's gemoeid. De productie van de lichtere bedrijfsvoertuigen verhuist naar Frankrijk. De werkgelegenheid blijft behouden en Volvo maakt daarmee duidelijk dat het belang hecht aan haar Gentse faciliteit.
