Volkswagen wil meedoen met de snel ontwikkelende markt van kleine SUV's. Daar staat tegenover dat een kleine coupé of roadster op de lange baan worden geschoven. Ook voor de Bulli, de reïncarnatie van de T1-busjes is voorlopig geen plaats.
